Tyson Branch

My dear family, our Tyson roots run deep and wide in the United States with some family members being among those who helped colonize this land. In addition and in no small part the blood, sweat and tears of our enslaved ancestors was the foundation that this nation was built upon.

Some of the men that we share blood kinship too were men who enslaved and fathered children by some of our enslaved female ancestors, there is no escaping this truth. To ignore this simple truth would be to ignore the truth about who we really are. So, yes the blood of the enslaved runs through our veins just as much as the blood of those who enslaved, and in spite of the cruelties in every instance visited upon our enslaved female ancestors, WE ARE HERE, STRONG and PROUD!

As you can imagine there have been great achievement and accomplishment, and along with that achievement and accomplishment there have been great failures, tragedy, and yes injury in every form imaginable.

To date I've accounted for seventeen (17) generations of Tyson's here in the United States alone, and another three (3) generations across the big pond over in the British Isle Wales and England.

This resulted in two lines of great grandparents from Mathias to Noah Samuel Tyson.
