Our Hamlin branch of the family is one packed full of family accomplishment, pride and triumph, as well as disappointment and tragedy. The Hamlin branch of our family tree begins with the birth of Flora Annie Tyson, daughter of Noah Samuel Tyson, Sr. (1808-1874) and wife Caroline Spearman (1842-1917). 

This was one of several marriages for Noah and this wife could literally have been his granddaughter considering the age difference, Noah was 54 and Caroline 20 when Flora was born.

Flora was born on April 2, 1854 in Rodessa, Louisiana and it is there where she met and married Charles Llewellyn Hamlin (1861). The two were blessed with the following children.
